On a Healing mission in April of 2006, Stephen was deeply touched by the plight of the individual street children in Kigali and surrounding districts.  His service would extend well beyond his month in Africa, as he discussed the possibility of a NGO with his friend Sylvestre, who lives and works in Kigali with Antoine.  Along with his American counterparts, Dominique and Myles, Stephen is responsible for funding and direction of Street Kids of Rwanda.  He continues to stay in touch with many orphans (Yvette & Yvonne, Jean Pierre, and many others) through letters and phone calls.
